Limit outdoor water use and prioritize watering your garden over your lawn.Give wells time to re-fill and water when it’s cool, not during the hot day, to avoid evaporation.Two rivers, the Lamprey and Souhegan, have implemented water actions from the watershed management plans. Other rivers could follow. The NHDES dam bureau is monitoring reservoirs across the state.“Now, we’re working to make sure we get the water to downstream rivers to maintain the biology,” O’Donovan said.
