BOSTON — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 182 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 121,396.

State health officials also confirmed 4 new COVID-19-related deaths across Massachusetts, bringing the state's confirmed coronavirus death toll to 8,937.

Fall River maintained its "yellow" status as a moderate risk community; Somerset also moved into the yellow category, meaning 4-8 cases per 100,000. Now New Bedford is one of 12 towns and cities in the state with eight-plus cases per 100,000 residents over the most recent 14-day span, along with Chatham, Chelsea, Dedham, Everett, Framingham, Lawrence, Lynn, Lynnfield, Methuen, Monson and Winthrop. Nearby Taunton is green, meaning less than 4 cases per 100,000.

Communities with fewer than five cases are not assigned a color designation, regardless of case rate, and are left "unshaded" on the DPH's chart and map, according to the DPH.

The latest town-by-town breakdown released by state:

FALL RIVER - 1,983 total cases; 95 cases in the last 14 days; average daily incidence rate is 7.6; 3.00% positivity rate; rated yellow.

FREETOWN - 118 total cases; less than 5 cases in the last 14 days; average daily incidence rate is 3.2; 1.61% positivity rate; rated unshaded.

SOMERSET - 234 total cases; 11 cases in the last 14 days; average daily incidence rate is 4.2; 1.59% positivity rate; rated yellow.

SWANSEA - 174 total cases; 6 cases in the last 14 days; average daily incidence rate is 2.7; 0.66% positivity rate; rated green.

WESTPORT - 128 total cases; 13 cases in the last 14 days; average daily incidence rate is 5.6; 2.07% positivity rate; rated yellow.

Today's positivity rate was 1.66%, but the seven day weighted average of the positive test rate is now approximately 0.8%, DPH reported. That is the lowest it's been.

The three day average hospitalizations was 329; the lowest it's been was 302. The three day average deaths was 7, which is the lowest it's been.

As of Wednesday, 338 patients with the coronavirus were hospitalized in Massachusetts, with 49 were reported to be in an intensive care unit and 21 intubated statewide.

Morton Hospital was reportng two patients, with one in the ICU. Charlton had two patients, with one in the ICU. St. Luke's had seven patients, with two in the ICU. And Saint Anne's had no patients.

In its weekly report released Wednesday, the DPH said 107,501 patients have been released from isolation, meaning they are considered to have recovered from the coronavirus. There are currently 4,958 people in isolation.
