Kohl's Corp. KSS, +0.01% announced the launch of its new private-label athleisure line, FLX, on Thursday. The collection, which includes items for men and women, is available in 300 Kohl's stores and online. Kohl's aims to grow the active category to at least 30% of its business, up from 20% currently. Kohl's is currently battling an activist investor group that is trying to remake the board. Kohl's says it's gaining momentum with the steps it's taking, including an upcoming partnership with Sephora that will bring beauty shops to Kohl's locations. Kohl's stock has doubled, up just over 100%, over the past year, while the S&P 500 index SPX, +1.50% has gained 43.7%.
