What We’re Saying: There's more to The North Face Purple Label's Lounge Nuptse Sandals than meets the eye, and there's already plenty for the eye to take in. A tough, slip-resistant Vibram Newflex sole cobbled together from recycled materials anchors the slip-on with equal parts cushioning and treaded security. Above, crisscrossing puffy panels lock the foot down, with mesh lining for breathability and comfort.
Regardless of whether they're black or beige, one strap is cut from 100D Cordura nylon, infused with gently insulating recycled down, while the other is a sturdy waterproof suede, finishing with The North Face Purple Label's signature tag.
Though they're pretty excellent, these Nuptse Sandals are far from the first swagged-out sandal the sub-label has dreamed up — last year alone, TNFPL issued buckled shower shoes and some wacky knit mules, though it's fair to say that this season's slides are its best to date and, if nothing else, they blow away the Nuptse shower shoes that America got.
